This session was designed for anyone interested in learning more about trucks, construction and farm equipment use in Oregon and Washington State and the clean air, climate and other considerations. It explored the current population of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment and trends in both states, and current and future regulations that will impact the technology used in these key economic sectors.

Attendees were able to look at data, characteristics and the role of heavy-duty engines and equipment in the Pacific Northwest’s economy, including the agricultural, transportation, construction and industrial equipment sectors. We also explored emissions profiles, fuel use including biofuels, new and existing technology and take a look at the trends and policies shaping the future.

Economic, environmental and energy considerations are emerging as top of mind issues in the wake of COVID-19. We looked at the current state of technology powering key sectors of the region’s economy, and where is it headed for the future.
