About a third of Valley Transit's bus fleet have now been switched over to clean diesel.
Seven of the old 1994 buses have been replaced by 2017 green-colored clean diesel fuel ones.
"We're improving our carbon footprint by greater than 90 percent from where we were with the old buses,” Valley Transit general manager Ron McDonald said. “There's almost zero-emission coming out of these clean diesel buses."
Valley Transit hopes to replace the rest of its buses with clean diesel within the next three or four years.
