For 2020, a 3.0-liter diesel V-6 joins the mix, giving the Wrangler a huge boost in torque, and likely fuel economy.
The engine is Fiat Chrysler's new EcoDiesel V-6—which debuted with the 2020 Ram 1500—and it will serve up 260 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. Jeep is only offering it with four-door Wrangler Unlimited models, and as standard, it's paired with an eight-speed automatic. If you want a manual-transmission Wrangler, you'll have to stick with the gas V-6.
