In 2014, Chevrolet introduced the Cruze diesel sedan. At the time, it was the company’s first diesel passenger car in 28 years. Now, four years later, comes the diesel hatchback.
Diesels conjure up the image of black toxic gases coming out of exhaust tips. That was yesterday’s image. Today’s diesels are unlike those of the past. Current diesel cars are equipped with scrubbers that eliminate most particulate matter contributing to that once-familiar diesel smell and cloud of smoke.
