North Dakota Department of Health Announces State Clean Diesel Grant Program

Information: North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) is pleased to release the State Clean Diesel Grant Program application and guidelines. The North Dakota Department of Health, through the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), will award approximately $314,554 in grants to be used for the purchase of new diesel powered vehicles and equipment throughout the state of North Dakota. The grant allocates funds to reduce diesel emissions under the Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) of the Energy Policy Act of 2005.

Tehama County Air Pollution Grant Funds Available
Deadline: August 4, 2010
Information: The Tehama County Air Pollution Control District has grant funds available under the Carl Moyer Program to assist Tehama County individuals and businesses in reducing pollutants from diesel engines by replacing agricultural off-road diesel equipment, repowering or retrofitting off-road equipment with newer and cleaner technologies or repowering agricultural irrigation diesel engines with electric motors. Grants will be made available to qualified applicants subject to the requirements of the program. Projects will be considered based on cost effectiveness of the project and date of application receipt.

North Carolina State 2010 Heavy-Duty Truck Rebate Program

Information: The purchase
of a new heavy duty truck with a 2010 EPA Certified diesel engine registered in
North Carolina will receive a rebate of $5,000 per truck. Companies are allowed
up two truck rebates. Heavy-duty trucks purchased must meet determined emission
standards to be eligible for the rebate. Rebates will be given until available
funds are expended or September 30, 2010, whichever comes
first.

NY-NJ Port Authority Offers $28 Million in Truck Replacement Aid
Deadline: First-come, first-served.
Information: The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey Regional Truck Replacement Program (TRP) is a special first-come, first-served limited offer to provide grants and financing to eligible truck owners to help them purchase newer, cleaner and more environmentally-friendly truck. As an important component of the Clean Air Strategy for the Port of New York and New Jersey the Regional Truck Replacement Program (TRP) aims to replace trucks that have engines Model Year 1993 or older with newer trucks Model Year 2004 to 2008, equipped Model Year 2004 or 2007 EPA emissions-compliant engines. The purpose of the TRP is to reduce diesel emissions from older trucks and improve local and regional air quality while also improving public health.
