Peoria Charter Coach Rolls Out Green Buses
Company unveils 3 new coaches equipped with Caterpillar engines that cut emissions
The new buses are white but Peoria Charter Coach Co. President Bill Winkler calls them green.
The charter bus operation unveiled three new motor coaches Tuesday at 2600 NE Adams St. equipped with high-efficiency ACERT engines manufactured by Caterpillar Inc.
"No smoke comes out of these coaches," said Winkler, adding that the new buses replaced 20-year-old vehicles in the Charter Coach fleet, consisting of 59 buses. "Peoria Charter Coach is going green. These buses are as green as it gets in the motor coach industry."
