Green Is Hot At Auto Shows

This year, the Washington Auto Show is going green. These alternative vehicles are no longer a side show. They're front and center as the industry creates the automobile for the future.
For Volkswagen, its clean diesel, the new Jetta TDI out this summer, can get 60 miles per gallon with 97% cleaner emissions.
Twelve other manufacturers are going with clean diesel as well.
"This is clearly a technology. It can be competitive and reduce reliance on petroleum today, not 15 or 20 years from now, but today,” said Allen Schaeffer of the Diesel Technology Forum.
