A local environmental-justice organization has received a $300,000 grant from the EPA to work with nearby businesses to cut down on diesel emissions from trucks and auto dismantlers.
Pacoima Beautiful, established in 1996 by a group of mothers concerned with blight in their neighborhood, will receive the grant today during a ceremony at San Fernando Road and Branford Street.
