Diesel Cars Making Comeback Amid Quest For Better Fuel Economy
Drivers will soon have a new weapon in the battle for fuel economy: diesel.
Manufacturers are about to start putting more diesel passenger cars on the road, starting with the Volkswagen Jetta this year. Diesel models usually achieve 20 to 30 percent better fuel economy than their gasoline-powered counterparts.
