New Diesel Fuel Cuts Emissions
Beginning Sunday, more than 8 million American trucks and buses will refuel with cleaner ultra-low sulfur fuel.
The new fuel, along with new diesel technology, will sharply reduce tailpipe pollution with major clean-air benefits, industry and environmental groups. said
The new diesel fuel will cut soot emissions by 10 percent. It will cut pollution by 95 percent when combined with new diesel engines.
Consumers will see more diesel vehicles in showrooms in the coming years, said Allen Schaeffer, director of the Diesel Technology Forum, an industry group.
