Resources for the Future - Clean Diesel?

DTF Involvement:  Each month, on the first Wednesday, scholars and experts from within and beyond the RFF community will speak on important energy, environmental, and natural resource topics. DTF is sponsoring the upcoming “Clean Diesel?” session, which will include Allen Schaeffer and David Geancopoulos, Director of Industry-Government Relations of Volkswagen on a panel along with Michelle Robinson from the Union of Concerned Scientists and Andrew Morriss, professor at Case Western Reserve University.

SAE Government/Industry Meeting

Date:  May 8-10, 2006

Location:  Washington, DC

DTF Involvement:  This year's meeting includes a large Technology Exhibit and Ride and Drive in the RFK Stadium parking lots, sponsored by SAE, the Department of Energy, and the Diesel Technology Forum.

In conjunction with the demonstration and ride and drive, DTF is sponsoring a technology focus group for the Washington Automotive Press Association (WAPA). Held during a luncheon on Wednesday, May 10, the featured panel will be comprised of representatives of member companies of the Diesel Technology Forum, followed by a Q&A session with the journalists.

DTF will have an exhibit at both RFK and the main conference hotel and DTF Executive Director Allen Schaeffer is moderating a panel on Tuesday, May 9 entitled, March to 2007 Clean Diesel Milestone: Progress Report.
