Diesel Contest Information
Do you love your diesel? Of course you do! Did you pick a diesel instead of a hybrid? Diesel cars are economical, clean, quiet and fun to drive! Diesel engines power construction and farm equipment, boats, trains and even airplanes!
The Diesel Technology Forum is looking for videos that tell a compelling and creative story of why you love your diesel car, pickup truck or SUV or other diesel-powered machine or vehicle. Tell us your story and you could win a $250 gift card!
Send your videos to dieselworksforme@dieselforum.org by September 14, 2009. (Deadline extended!)
Please include your name, address, phone number and e-mail address. Videos must be a minimum of one minute and a maximum of three minutes and will be judged on how well it communicates the benefits and positive attributes of diesel technology, and why they are important to you.
Preliminary judging will be done by members and staff of the Diesel Technology Forum. Finalists will be selected from each category and the top three entries will be posted at www.dieselforum.org and voting by website viewers.
FORMAT:
Video Format: H.264, MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 preferred
Aspect Ratio: Native aspect ratio without letterboxing (examples: 4:3, 16:9)
Resolution: 640x360 (16:9) or 480x360 (4:3) recommended
Audio Format: MP3 or AAC preferred
Frames per second: 30
Maximum length: 3 minutes
Maximum file size: 1 GB
Please no cell phone videos.
A winning video essay will be selected from each of the following categories:
- Personal Transportation (light-duty cars, pick-up trucks, SUVs
- Heavy-Duty Highway Vehicles
- Off-Road Engines and Equipment (farm, construction equipment, boats, airplanes, etc.)
One winner in each category will be selected to win a $250 gift card.

Winners will be contacted on or around September 25, 2009. All entries, in whole or in part or, may be featured on the Diesel Technology Forum’s website, www.dieselforum.org, YouTube and in other promotional venues and materials.
