The Diesel Technology Forum offers answers to common questions being asked by program stakeholders and interested parties.
The Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) was instituted by Congress in 2005 to encourage the retrofit and replacement of existing diesel engines as a means of reducing emissions and improving air quality. This landmark program has been strongly supported by a diverse array of interest groups including environmental, public health, labor and religious organizations, as well as industry and state and local governments.
DERA has been the subject of much attention in late 2010 and early 2011. In order to better understand these developments and their implications, the Diesel Technology Forum is offering some answers to common questions being asked by program stakeholders and interested parties.
