Diesel Cruze coming in 2013

Chevrolet plans to introduce a diesel-powered Cruze next year, and it would be the first diesel engine offered in a compact car sold in the U.S.
"Even with high fuel prices, we're seeing more consumers willing to invest in more advanced technology, fuel-efficient vehicles," said Allen Schaeffer, executive director of the Diesel Technology Forum.
