What does DTF do?

We promote the value and benefits of all aspects of diesel engines, fuels technology and equipment to policymakers, opinion leaders and the media. An extensive policymaker education and outreach campaign positions DTF and its members at the forefront in helping to expand governmental acceptance and the market for diesel technology. At the heart of DTF's work is an aggressive communications and media relations campaign focusing on tradtional print and broadcast media as well as a growing social media effort. Ten years of building extensive and beneficial relationships with key policymaker and NGO groups today positions the Forum and its members as key players in energy, climate and environmental policy discussions. Direct engagement with environmental organizations and regional stakeholder groups gives us unmatched credibility and opportunities to partner together.

Who in my company should be involved in DTF?

A wide range of member company representatives are involved in DTF including Washington representatives, state government affairs managers, public policy experts, directors of communication, public affairs and marketing, technical engineering and corporate managers. Most companies have more than one person involved in DTF activities. Industry sectors represented include light-duty vehicle OEMs, heavy-duty truck, engine and off-road and farm equipment makers, fuel refiners, renewable fuel companies, Tier I & II suppliers, emissions control and retrofit technology manufacturers, petroleum associations and diesel repair organizations.
